Once an employee has been retired several years, a gap might materialize between their pension income and retirement expenses depending on how well their pension is protected against inflation. In addition, a new retirement environment of longer life expectancies, rising health care costs, and fluctuating retirement savings values will make the income stage of retirement an increasingly difficult challenge for all but the most prepared. Employees need to understand the challenges they will face before they retire so they can make informed decisions about when to retire and how to take distributions from their pension, 457, 403(b), and other personal retirement savings. Employers and counselors need to teach pre-retirees what they need to know to successfully transition into and manage their income in retirement so employees experience the greatest enjoyment and peace of mind.


Who Should Take This Course
This workshop is designed for you to deliver to middle-market pre-retirees and retirees who want to make informed decisions about when to retire and how to convert employer retirement plan and other savings into income during retirement. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend for no additional fee. Group sizes of 25 - 35 (including spouses) are recommended for best results.


Instructional Method
You will teach participants about retirement income decision-making process and help them create an actionable action plan using an interactive, hands-on approach that increases the application and retention of new skills.


The workshop license includes:
  • A 75-90 minute scripted PowerPoint presentation with printed leaders guide for your delivery of the program
  • 25 participant workshop workbooks are included in the initial license package. The license requires each participant receive a workbook; extra workbooks available for order below.
