Why This Course?

“How can my staff learn the basics of serving the retirement planning needs of our members or clients?”

Do you have employees behind the front line who provide services supporting retirement counselors, defined benefit or defined contribution services, or bank staff, mutual fund back office employees, or call center representatives? Training them on key retirement concepts can go a long way in helping them better serve your clients and be more productive.

Either as the first of a four-part series to prepare for the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certification exam or as a standalone professional development and training course, this course covers how the basic tools of financial planning can be used to best prepare for retirement.

By taking a close look at how to plan for retirement at different career stages, your staff will learn techniques for understanding the broad variety of factors that can affect an employee's/member's retirement goals. Methods for motivating and educating members and employees on the need to save for retirement, and the importance of members taking personal responsibility for their own financial futures is also emphasized.
